McDavid Delivers Yet Again for Canada
At the 4 Nations Face-Off final in Boston, McDavid gave fans another reason to cheer. In overtime, he scored the game-winning goal for Team Canada, lifting them to victory. That moment instantly became one of the most memorable in recent Canadian hockey history, putting McDavid in the same league as legends like Paul Henderson and Sidney Crosby.
After the game, McDavid kept things humble, saying, “I hope we put on a good show and gained some fans.” He definitely did both.

For four years in a row, McDavid’s Oilers have eliminated the Los Angeles Kings from the playoffs. No team knows his skills better. Kings center Phillip Danault called McDavid “electric” and praised his speed and quick hands.
Even Drew Doughty, a longtime rival, had to give credit after playing with McDavid for Team Canada. Doughty said no other player could’ve turned his pass into a breakaway goal like McDavid did, possibly with the exception of Nathan MacKinnon.
